Tasting- Yellowtail Shiraz Grenache

Name: Yellowtail
Variety: Blend of Shiraz and Grenache
Region: Casella
Country: Australia
Year: 2015
Price: $14

Winery Review: "A classic blend of Shiraz and Grenache, with the raspberries, blackcurrant, lliquorice and spice characteristics of the Shiraz complementing the upfront cherry and cola flavors of the Grenache. The balanced wine offers earthy tones, strawberry aromas and vibrant acidity."

My Review: Smells like red plums. Slightly bitter but good fruit flavors. More earthy tones. Not sure how I feel about this one. I wish it had a little more body and fruit flavors present. Almost bought a bottle because it was so cheap for a magnum. But then decided it wasn't good enough.

Paired with food: No
